Everything lines up beautifully. I hope that the second season makes me get that feeling of connecting the puzzle pieces. Realizing who really was who, was probably the most insane thing to me(other than the fact that this show has probably some of the greatest details). A normal person, after going in depth with the show, should realize the that the "being different" or "unconventionalness" of the show is based on how serious the author was when writing this. It really feels like the author wanted to make a show he would watch over and over, trying to absorb all the subtleties.
I'm personally amazed, and btw I don't think this was meant to be a trans-representation show. The idea of being trans in this show was to bring conflict, as an idea to always return to and reflect upon. I see it as more of an authorial choice here.
Now about the end. I think what the final episodes, being controversial, represent is that the show is something you cannot predict. Watch and find out.
