I decided to watch this when i found out the novel had been adapted into a donghua. I must say this is my first time watching a show with this type of animation and i can say with confidence that it was enjoyable. im not sure if the show will display the romance between the characters like in the novel but honestly i dont mind i think the story is good with or without the romance but i do think the romance is what makes it even more sweeter and emotional. I highly recommend you read the novel as it was written by 'MXTX' who has also written 'The Grandmaster of demonic Cultivation/Mao Dao Zu Shi' and 'Heaven's Official Blessing/ Tian Guan Ci Fu'. The novel name for this donghua is 'The Scum Villain's Self-Saving System/Ren Zha Fanpai Zijiu Xitong'. i liked how they designed Shizun's character he looks quite handsome in my opinion. Overall the plot is really good and the main character is very funny and relatable. I really enjoyed the show cant wait for season 2 and if you liked it as well i highly recommend you read the novel :)
