Honestly,it was much better than had exppected. It was a nice wholesome story that included both action and comedy. It helped viewers stay more entertained due to the types of genres and how they were displayed. In my opinion, I would say it executes the whole spy family troupe better than spy x family did and that's because spy x family adds more than needed to the plot while buddy daddies are more toned down. Miri acts more her age than Anya which is expected and is nice to rather than a child having psychic powers. And while spy x family does have a romantic aspect, buddy daddies compensate for that with the bond that both Kasuki and Rei have for not having a family growing up with and they are thrown into having a family with zero prior knowledge. But I'm not saying that it is superior, it does have some downsides such as feeling too rushed and I wish we could have seen a bit more into both Kasuki's and Rei's backgrounds a bit more.
